1. back from Vacation. I suggest hitting up New Orleans and Memphis if you find yourself near them. Met some great people, especially the couple from England who sold their home to take a trip round the world. Loved the stories they had. And the south, where my dad actually seems kind of normal. hahaha

2. There's a new dog in our house. A Brown and white Australian Shepherd named Darwin. He's 8 months old and not trained and stinky! Whoever was fostering him before my bro and his girlfriend did a bad job. First thing my bro did was bring himto the vet where he had to get ten stitches and be put on medication! So they can't take him to te groomer's because of the stitches!

3. FOOTBALL!!!!! YEY! I'm so happy, things are going well. Reading FC held on to Stephen Hunt and Kevin Doyle and even added to their squad Stephen's little bro Noel. So now Reading's a family affair seeing as Stephen married Doyle's cousin!! They tied their first game, won their first Carling Cup match, and won their second game. :)

4. Irish Fair was nuts! I won the photo contest! the same pic that one my school's photo contest won there. so that was pretty sweet.

5. I CAN"T WAIT TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL!!!! I'm SO BORED! lol and I feel useless since i have no job here at home. I"VE GOT TWO AT SCHOOL!!!!! XP

6. mmmm pink fried rice. :D i made the perfect fried rice today. sushi rice dyed bright pink, green onions, green peppers, white onions, 1 egg, La Choy soy sauce, and fried rice mix. it was sooo good (and colorful!)

7. Dad still doesn't have a job, but he's on the short list for the permanent position where he's contracting at right now.

Still things could be much worse...

SO! we get to go on vacation! yey! we're not spending a week in the Florida Keys like we were going to though. We're heading through St. Louis, New Orleans, Graceland, Atlanta, and Mammoth cave in Kentucky. We're doing it up old school too, no interstates no reservations (at swanky hotels). I'm so psyched for all the seedy roadside motels :D then we're heading up north to Duluth for the family reunion where my cousin's having her baby shower and the Tall Ships are going to be in the harbor!

sidenote:
I never thought i'd be in a family where whenever we talk about having to buy something it ends in the phrase, "When dad gets a job". I've heard that phrase about a hundred times in the past few days.

Mommy's all right, Daddy's all right

Got free time????? I've set up a bunch of blogs devoted to the different stories i've got floating about in my noggin. So, if you've got a moment you should definitely check them out!!!!
Here's a link to the most frequently updated one as of late (links to the others at the bottom of the page!): htttp://theseexiledyearsxx.blogspot.com

yup yup

Updates??
not many.

1.) Our big blue salt water fish (the same species as Dory from Finding Nemo) died yesterday. we think a rock fell on it cuz he was super healthy. :( it sucked cuz i was the one who found him. (i noticed the fish tank room was smelling fishier than usual) So that was a bummer.

2.) Soccer season is already almost over for me. I don't think i even have any games this weekend which really sucks cuz i NEED the money.

3.) End of June is the time of transfers in and out of Reading FC and i'm not looking forward to that. However, my fav players that have be speculated to leave have also been speculated to leave for clubs i like, Sunderland (which means i'd be able to see em play when i visit my mate Kie in England since he's an avid Sunderland follower) and Fulham (which i decided would be my premiership team this year.) in related news, i had what can only be described as a nightmare when i dreamt that Clint Dempsey was being traded to some crazy sounding Russian club. o_O

4.) Onion ring tempura...mmm...

5.) EVERYBODY OUT! this weekend! woo! Finally, hopefully, get to meet Mr. Sweeney himself! :D

6.) still no job for pops.

7.) rawr.

News:

1. Reading was relegated. :( but Steve Coppell is still the manager and so far it seems like a lot of key players are staying.
2. Still no job. for either me or my dad.
3. Everybody out! comes to town on June 22! Finally get to meet the legend Chris Sweeney. :D
4. Flogging Molly is playing the MN Irish Fair this August. It's gonna be huge!
5. Reffing. Actually coordinated a tournament last weekend. it was ridiculous. We were left with an impossible task of finding about forty refs to cover a shit ton of games. It was amazing how many spots we filled but so many weren't. Sunday we managed to fill all positions though which was good.
6. blaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh
7. Indiana Jones this weekend?
